EoJM Ladder

Myr and insane0001 added to the active player list.

In the meanwhile i have received some questions on psn about how to arrange games for this Ladder.

Main principle is simple. If you see another Ladder player online on psn, feel free to ask them for a Ladder match.
If both agree to play for it (no matter what the ratings are), then you can play and enter the result.
Other means to meet up (chat-room, msn, facebook, ... ) are of course also possible.

Besides that, you are able to challenge someone. If that person is within a 50 rating point difference compared
to your own rating, than that person can not avoid/refuse the challenge and you both have to agree on a set date and time to play your game.

Challenges are to be posted in this topic, so that i can update the tournament "group" field which will indicate the 2 players that are involved in 1 challenge.

Still one thing nor clear: from EOJ game board, you have to choose persolanlized game (not sure of the
translation, in French "match pernalisé", personalized=custom) and then invite the
person ?

Another question: what's the rule, if during the game, one has a connection problem ? Do we follow ranked game
rule, that is, disconnected = lost game ?

Seeing as how this is, from what I've been told, a friendly alternitive to the Ranked mode online, Id say if a DC happens then the duel could be redone (if it was not an intentional DC). But thats up to the creator

Yes, you set up a custom game and invite your opponent (which is probably on your psn friendlist by then).

As for disconnects. Being a WIFI over ADSL user myself for my PS3 online gaming, i know first hand that sometimes
your connection just dies which means you lose the game when playing on Ranked.

As for default ruling and to keep it simple, when it does happen ... the result would be the same as it would in Ranked.

However ... as to promote a sportmanship atmosphere related to the Ladder ... you are free to offer a rematch when this
happens to your opponent. Typical situation would be when playing someone you have known for a long time,
and it would seem very unlikely that he would disconnect on purpose.

The history repeats. Again lost my first Ladder game .
But this one was an ULTRA lucky game (lost on turn 9) - 3 invisible creatures.

I challange Baadshah_Khan. Lets see if you can pull something that crazy this time.

Just played Alexis94.

I knew the name looked familiar, which was confirmed when i saw the AA 76+ rating when he joined the room.

Anyways ... was a good game and we both seemed to have a nice opening hand.
Was able to predict what you were playing quickly however, which allowed me to win the game early.

Looking to forward to rematch anytime.

Just filled in the result from the game against alexis94, both it says ELO gain/loss 0.0 ... which is not what i expected.

Could you look into this?

I see a status "new" with the game-result i have just entered.

Is it possible my opponent needs to confirm that result for it to actually have effect?

There is quite a rating difference between you and Baadshah at this moment.

I assume from your post you lost to Baadshah. I would propose to have that result entered first and see what the ratings are at that point.
I would still expect that the difference between you both will be bigger than 50, so Baadshah will be able to refuse if he wants to.
