Tips for safe trading

Here are some tips for trading safely:
1. Before accepting a trade, check the user's trading score in the Trading module. This score is also displayed in each users post here on the forum. It is best to only trade with users that have a positive (good, very good or perfect) score.

2. Check the trusted traders list: http://www.eojmanager.com/forum/posts/list/2292.page
The users on that list are known to be honest traders.

3. Try to arrange trades via the Trading module on this site. That way there is proof of the trade. If you arrange a trade by e-mail or PM's, it is much more difficult to get this proof of a trade.

4. If you trade with someone who has no trading score and is not on the trusted trading list, make sure that he/she agrees to first send his/her cards to you and you send your cards only after having received the cards. Of course, if you are a new trader, you can expect traders who have a good score here to ask this of you.

5. You can also insist on having the cards send by registered mail (or even with tracking and tracing). This does cost a bit more, but there is proof that that cards have been send.

6. If you are still in doubt about a possible trader, ask around in the forums or contact our trading manager: petercrook60

7. If you have made a successful trade, please let our trading manager petercrook60 know so that he can put that trader on the trusted trading list. Also ask your trading partner to tell peter so that you can also be put on that list. If you arranged the trade via the trading module, also be sure to give feedback in the trading module and ask for feedback; that way your trading score will be updated.

8. If there are any problems or arguments regarding a trade, please contact our trading manager petercrook60. He will try to mediate in trading issues. We have been able to correct several trading problems in the past. But also remember that sometimes the postal services can be very slow in some countries, so do give it a bit of time.

9. If you have a bad trading experience, please let our trading manager petercrook60 know so that he can put that rogue trader on the warning list. He can also try to arrange a settlement. In case someone is clearly and proven a rogue trader, he will be banned from this site.
