Ideas for future tournaments

Opposites attract tournament:

You can only make a deck from either a combination of:

Fire and Water Creatures (and any spells).........or........... Wood and Earth Creatues (and any spells)

(You must have at least 1 creature of each element in a deck)

Hey Evil side of Ken....... Shall we get a new tourney going???

Race based???.... maybe to try and get some new fresh deck ideas!!!

It would be nice to keep things going as long as possible.

How about some big juicy prizes!!!

As the World Championship has come to an end, yes ... there's room for starting another.

Idea is ready, registration to be opened soon.

Seems to be a few new guys around atm, maybe we could have a starter deck or set 1 theme deck tournament!

Although this seem like a good idea for a tournament, I can't see why you are restricting which elements you must use when you could get much more surprise and variation if you where to say that you could only use 2 elements in your deck, but if you allowed players to choose which ever 2 elements they want.

Just to get you all warmed up for the next series of tournaments that will be hosted here on EoJM.

Similar to the 3 Race Alliance Tournament we'll host a max X? number of Affiliation Tournament.

Next to that we'll start a new series of Tournaments called "Hostile Grounds".
Concept is simple, a full 1 element board layout wherein that element is forbidden to be used.

exampels: Hostile Grounds - Fire Nation (Fire creatures can not be used), or Hostile Grounds - Water Nation (Water creatures can not be used), ... etc

Next to that (and soon) we'll pick up on the Theme Deck idea, and this for all sets (including Set 3 ... WTF?)

These kind of tournaments are the best.

Hostile grounds sounds fun, although I think it will definitely discourage using the opposite element as well, therefore turning into a three element tournament. I also like the affiliation and alliance ideas, invites some new thought at least on my part and I would love to see a return of the newbie or starter deck tournament as it helps level the playing field of competition for those of us without full sets. Theme deck tournaments I assume would do this as well? Also, is the ladder dead yet? It seems the forum is getting no attention and it is very hard to find competitors.

Perhaps premature to come to that conclusion, but indeed it has not been very lively lately (knowing that 95% of Ladder players are on my PSN list).

Good news for the active and motivated EoJM members out there.

Specific tournaments with shorter deadlines, fewer players, credit vault entry fees ... BUT ... better prizes (read other than vault credits) will soon be hosted here on EoJM.
