hello, i will organize a tournment.

Rules:

Group-based: 10 groups with 9 players each. Within these groups all players play games against the other players (2 winning games) . At the end, 3 winners of each group go to the next round. the 2 best loosers come to the next round.

Starting with group-based followed by series of finals. 32 players. I want to start this tournment the 16/03/10. because i need time to recrute all players, i have only 30 now, i must have 90.

for partcipation it's 6 euros for french people, 11 dollars for other countries.
after payment i send all players set 2 promo cards (3 cards).
prizes for winner are:

1-Biolith Bomber (73) C JAP.
2-Biolith Bomber (73) B JAP.
3-Bewitching Elf Archeress (57) B JAP.
4-General Lug (126) JAP.

thanks for the info but i think that 990 dollars that u will win for only 4 promos is a bit unffair..i dont know how much they cost but i dont think more than 200 dollars each(sorry if they do so..he)besides for the countries that dont have euro or dollar as their first coin is really expensive(ex in argentina do it euroX5 dollarx4..)

excuse me, but i don't win some money, because for shipping it cost 1,89 euros and the 3 card cost me 4 euros, so i just win 90*0.11= 9,90 euros. and i give 4 promo cards like prizes.

i don't think it's good business.

i think you don't seen that i give 3 promo cards set 2 (General Lug (126), Parmetic Deathspeaker (120), and Noram Zealot (121)) to the 90 players. that cost me 1.89 for one shipping and 4 euros for one lot of 3 cards. and i give 4 promo cards like prizes. you always think that i want make business.
i don't win anything.

it's nice that everyone gets the set 2 promos but the prices for the winners are not really big.

the better promo cards i've got are Romili Reloaded (288), Edin the Persecuted (68), and the two Biolith Bomber (73) japan.

i can't do better.

where do i register ? can't see your tournament in the tournament registration ? is there any specific cards rules ?

Once uzumacki has a clear image of the number of players that will join and how that may affect the set up of the number of groups, I will create a tournament in the Tournament module for this.

I would be more interested in this tournament if:

2) Interesting format e.g. Dual Element with ban on Parmetic Vengeress (255) and Blinding Skies (107) (Great idea eh!!!)

3) More realistic time frame. 64 players

Round 1 : 16 groups of 4! Best of 3 each match (total 9 games each) Top player goes through! ( 1 month )
Round 2 : 4 groups of 4! Best of 3 each match (total 9 games each) Top 2 players go through (1 month)
Quarter-Finals, Semi Finals, Final...all best of 3! (1 month)

There are up's and downs to this tourney, the one big down with this tourney is for the near $1000 total income the prices are horrible, its almost like the guy has 90 sets of set 2 promos to get rid of that he can't sell so he set up this tourney to get rid of them all, ether that or a scam, I mean where are the so called 30 player he already has?

I do like the idea of paying to play a tourney tho, it would mean that the players that join the tourney would see it through to the end.

I think it would be better if EOJM mods set up a PayPal tourney, like $1 to join 16 players and prizes where $16 equivalent in vault credits split between the top 3 players.

i've payed lot of 90 cards 360 euros or 540 dollars, if you prefered. and one shipping cost me 1,50 euros for french people and 4 dollars for other countries.
i don't want to make business, but i don't want to lost some money too.
that's why i want 6 dollars for french people and 11 dollars for other countries.
and for information 1 euros= 1.78 dollars.
so 6 euros = 10,68 dollars.
