3 Race Alliance Tournament

Board layout -> shuffle

Cards that can NOT be used during this tournament:
Parmetic Vengeress (255)
Blinding Skies (107)

Your deck may only consist of 3 Races (written left in the middle of the card, under the ATK strength and next to the Affiliation).

As such Hero, Betrayer, Egg or God ... are considered as 1 Race.

Spells can be used without restriction (except Blinding Skies (107) -> see banned list)

Deckswapping IS allowed
3 min turns

all players divided in 4 groups of 4 players

groups will be populated taking into account ELO ratings at end of registration

Top 2 of each division advance to quarter finals

group matches will be played in 2 games per opponent, every player can go 1st once

order of who goes 1st in what match will be pre-determined by group ranking (highest player goes 1st in 1st game)
group matches can end in a draw (1-1)

everybody plays everybody in their group

in case of tie for number of games won, tie-breaker will be based on number of wins goind 2nd then number of losses going 1st then number of turns needed in your losses (the higher the better)

quarter-finals,semi-finals and final will have a 3rd game if needed with random 1st player

Prizes:

4 credits for winner

2 credits for runner-up

1 credit for each losing semi-finalist

This is going to be a tough one!! Trying to find that 'killer' combination will take some time!

Sounds like an interesting and challenging idea, I'm definitely in as usual. I just want to clarify that using humans, a betrayer and a hero for example would count for your three race limit. Also, my stepson tonypdh wants to compete again, but this time I told him that he has to set up his own matches so I apologize in advance if it becomes harder to communicate with him. Up until now I have been doing most of the PM'ing and posting for him on here.

I was thinking about this rules and thought could this list be expanded to include Nobles, or even expanded to include any U/R's, or you could have a limit of 3xU/R, would certify make you think about using U/R Spells, Battle Master (182), Noble, Spire, Hero, Betrayer, God?

I think it should not be expanded. It is exciting enough as it is and actually it will force us to try to design decks without several of the most influential URs (unless we want to sacrifice one of the races to include e.g. Didi).

I got some problems getting it...

Are . Heros, betrayers, Eggs, Gods, Nobles, Warlords Considered as one race all together, or One race each?

One race each, unless I totally got it wrong...

If not, it will turn out to be pretty much an ordinary tourney with just slighlty tuned decks and shuffled board.

That is indeed correct.

So ... technically you could have a deck with 1 Hero, 1 Betrayer, 1 Noble and 27 spells

So Nobles, Titans, Warlords, ... are all considered as different races (consider difference in race mentioning on card literally).

As for UR's ... mentioned rules would allow for up to 3 Mandragora Triplet (272)s.
For most other UR's the 1 limit per deck would natively put a limitation.
