are dragon decks playable? can they get out in time and useable?, things like the Bone Drake (250), fire wyvern, etc if so what would be the best to play with them, maybe a balanced deck with them in it? or can you make a good deck using them.
if i was to use the drakes, wyverns, with bigger dragons for the heavys, maybe with some cubics, lizards and undead, with some mana production in the form of ten tyrants ?

Dragon/Cubic decks are the ones I have found work best. You need mana. I would run stall cards as well (swordsmen, Tree Foxes (159), and other low cost/high damage cards so you can save mana).

I am sure there are some decent decks in this section, but I do not have a dragon deck registered on this site. Just a quick untested deck idea I would used would be something like...

Red Cubic (18) x2
Sciondar Fire Dragon x2
General Lug (126)
Partmole Gatekeeper (211) x2
Yellow Cubic (54) x2
Undead Dragon (49)
Bone Drake (250) x2
Callous Gaiakhan (257)
Verzar Swordsmen x3
Novogus Catapult (43) x2
Arch Bishop Jirva
Sea Serpent (234) x2
Tree Fox x2
Wormak, Biolith Heir
Absolver Sacrament (191)
Goghlie Altar (92)
Summoner Mesmers Lapse
Biolith Infestation (307)
Mesmer's Errand x2

I think the affects of Sea Serpent (234) and Bone Drake (250) are the best of the set 3 mini dragons. I am not sure if this deck would win consistantly but it would definitely be able to win with a good draw. There is enough 'stall' to build mana and the cubics can work early to get out the dragons or draw fire from your opponent as a decoy and could lead the opponent to play off field or waste heavy hitters to get rid of a cubic.

My girlfriend uses a a Mourning Reanimation (299) combo for her dragon deck in conjunction with dominion and ritual cards that sacrifice creatures. It allows her to get them on the field for 2 mana since the set 1 dragons aren't ultra rare. She then picks a set 3 dragon ultra rare and builds support around its' element and adds in the mid level dragon set. It works great and with the addion of cubics and mimicks plays at a decent pace.

I would definitely use more than one UR dragon. They are beasts and you get them onboard for free if you get to the dragon invocation.

Ninja Fate Enhancer (199) might also be handy here.

it does seem to run not bad, doesnt win all the time but i enjoy playing dragons (collect them too) so its fun.
thanks all for the help and info

All of the set 3 ultra rare dragons do extra stuff based on specific triggers. In order to make the effects worth while I think you'd need some cards that support that effect. For example the set 3 earth dragon does magic damage to adjacent enemies when mana is gained outside of the mana phase. So having cards that compliment that would make him more effective. If you use the dragons for their power and linear attacks the set one dragons would compliment the dragon you chose from set 3 along with the dragons used to set up dragon invocation. Although what your talking about does sound fun.
