I've played the deck several times through many different iterations. I think you guys have some good suggestions, but they aren't helpful unless you can tell him what to take out to place substitute. Most of the cards have a purpose in the deck so it comes down to what does he sacrifice. He treats some creatures like spells do to their extra abilities.
