The prize could be cash, everyone who wants to join could pay just $5 to any trusted member interested in joining the tournament, then that member could pay the cash to the winner accordingly at the end of the tournament.

once all players are in the chatroom ready to play we could all make the payments to whoever we collectively trust and decide collectively the suitable format and any special rules we wish to follow to make the tournament more interesting.

I am spending some my winning vault credits on a 'Eye of Judgment Legends' UMD PSP game using the amazon.co.uk vouchers, which I would like to offer to the community in a free draw, taking place on my 41st birthday, 8th March (4 days before release - so you can still pre order if you don't win etc...). Rules as follows

8 Players use Paypal to pay $5 USD to join the tournament.

First Prize $40 USD minus any Paypal Fees occurred, this will be a non-profit tournament except to the winner, winner takes all.

All games take place next Sunday 17/01/2010 starting at 2pm London UK time, inside the EOJM chat room.

All cards allowed, but there will be a penalty for using ANY spells, ANY SPELL YOU USE ENDS YOUR TURN, so if you use a spell you cannot cast a creature after, you have to use the End Turn Card and sacrifice the rest of your move once the spell is complete, this means you can only play one spell per turn.

Board layout will be random

Players play best of 3 each game, this is a straight elimination tournament, ALL games first move is random, hence you could by luck have first move in all 3 rounds.

All CASH payments via Paypal will be made on the day of the tournament to any trusted member of choice who may wish to join or overlook the tournament before the tournament begins, the winner will receive there money as soon as the tournament ends, The trusted member controlling the cash can be agreed on the day by the players wishing to participate.

Group-based: 10 groups with 9 players each. Within these groups all players play games against the other players (2 winning games) . At the end, 3 winners of each group go to the next round. the 2 best loosers come to the next round.

Each individual puzzle will give a certain amount of points. The three people with the highest points for a specific puzzle will win the following prizes (in case of multiple people who have the same amount of points, winners will be drawn):
* First prize winner: 5 prize vault credits
* Second prize winner: 3 prize vault credits
* Third prize winner: 1 prize vault credit

The overall prizes are based on the total amount of points gained with all the puzzles:
* First prize winner: One Mandragora Triplet (272) card and 5 prize vault credits
* Second prize winner: 4 prize vault credits

The first puzzle is a word searcher. In the word searcher below, you can find a certain amount of EOJ card names. The are hidden both horizontally, vertically and diagonally, left-to-right, right-to-left, top-to-bottom, bottom-to-top and letters can be used in multiple card names. The exact amount of card names that can be found is the answer to this puzzle. Here is the word searcher:

The second puzzle are five Sudoku's, one for each element. Instead of using numbers, these Sudoku's use letters. When you have finished each Sudoku, the letters in the white boxes form one word for each element. The letters in the orange boxes from all the five Sudoku's togeter form an expression. These five words and the expression are the solutions you have to send in. You get points for getting each word and expression correct and the winners are drawn from those with the most points. Discounting neutral cards which are not included in the puzzle, you must identify what is missing from the list of card titles used. Some spoiler tiles have been added as an aid and these indicate the end of one card name and the beginning of another. Note that there may be one or more card titles between spoiler tiles. The spoiler tiles are included in the full scrambled set, so these should be eliminated from the list from the start.

i think it'd be fun to do something like run an odd creature tournament. you can only use creatures that have odd summon cost (on the card) (1,3,5,7,9). And maybe limit it to one type of spell each. 1 ritual, 1 dominion, 1 conjuration, etc.

Anyway the point of this post is to say...yes..to the forfeit option in the tournament module...if someone forfeits is it fair that the other person gets ELO points...no...is it fair that the forfeiter loses points..yeah!!! Is this post getting a little bit tedious and boring..probably..

I like ELO points...you like ELO points....we like ELO points.

If this system can get sorted it would be :D especially the auto confirmation process!!
